The idea of this project is based on what started by the efforts of the donor countries, organizations, relief bodies and humanitarian organizations, which sought to activate the field of training and rehabilitation among the refugees.
The first is that we have an active presence in this aspect in line with our heritage and our Islamic faith, and believing that this comes in contrast to the needs of the refugees of food and housing – they also need to feed their lives and ideas, in this sense came the idea of the project (Maras).
It was intended to contain the refugees psychologically and intellectually, which works to develop their self and create tranquility and stability in their communities and educate them towards their homeland and reconstruction after the end of the war.
The project aims at the following objectives:
– Contribute to reducing the negative consequences of the situation experienced by the Syrian refugees in the Arab region and neighboring countries.
– Encourage and adopt a number of practices that will minimize the negative effects of pressures experienced by young refugees.
– Contribute to the development of the self-educational, social and relief capacities of all target groups.
– Organizing and arranging a number of refugee programs and activities.
– Learning more about the current needs of the refugee population and work to reverse those needs in to programs and activities.
– Creating of a Syrian entity that presents all the needs, aspirations and concerns of refugees, programs and activities held inside the camp in coordination with the organizations and International relief agencies, this entity represents the camp reference and the portal of relief agencies and organizations with regard to the data and statistics for the camp, and thus increase the ability of relief agencies and organizations to identify the actual needs of the camp and work to meet them effectively and efficiently.
The project was targeted by both individuals and institutions. The project sponsor was the Nedaa Al Fitra group and under the supervision of the project in Quddam for Renaissance Studies, it was implemented by: International Expertise hoiuse and Syrian Women Association
